Extremely competitive so promotions are very hard to come by, average salaries are below industry standard despite being the largest P&C market in Canada (unless you are an external candidate or are part of the commercial development training program), employees that begin their career with Intact will find it difficult to move from entry level salaries to what is considered to be an industry standard salary for underwriting positions. Workload is also extremely demanding.
