Pros
flexibility, schedule your own hours. It was fun with certain field managers, with a couple others it was horrible.
Cons
Discrimination, too much work for each inspection---loads and loads of driving, then when you get home, you have to spend your evening uploading and sketching for a low fee. Disparate pay. You'd better check EVERY single inspection against your pay stub---oh, and they don't give you a pay stub with your check. You have to go on the computer and keep all emails, to make sure you're getting paid for your work. Management plays favorites and can be verbally abusive at times. I am so glad I moved on with my license as an All-Lines Insurance Adjuster, to get off the hamster wheel. Management talks to people about their peers. Train your people, don't just hire them, throw them out in the field and expect them to navigate around blindly.
