Pros
- A talented and great technology department - A "small company" feeling, despite it's size (!1,000 employees)
Cons
- A *lot* of paperwork and bureaucracy forced on the firm from it's parent company Nomura - Despite selling itself as a "technology company" the technology group is treated as a back-office function - The CEO has a very poor approach to communication, even for important changes to the firm - A reluctance to invest in legacy software, some developers will be frustrated at the balance of legacy maintenance vs. new development
