Pros
Supportive and positive atmosphere with experienced management that has previously done everything they are asking you to do. Significant earning potential for people in front-line sales role: uncapped residual commissions in a company and industry that continues to grow. Solid benefits. Quality people. Good training with solid methodology. Everything I was promised about the company prior to coming here has proven true. Having sales co-located with service helps with communication. The company has a quality service and does the right thing for its customers.
Cons
Just a note: pay no attention to those who gripe that the company doesn't give them enough leads, or their territory is poor. Sounds like sour grapes to me. This is relationship-based business sales of a strategic HR service. It's usually a purchase of choice and not necessity--your biggest competition is typically the status quo. It's a big service that occupies a significant footprint in the customer's administration. All this contributes to an extended sales cycle. Success is usually measured in years not months, with the success curve resembling a hockey stick. It takes a good while to learn everything required to operate independently. You won't stay if you're not patient and dedicated. Does take hard work and an entrepreneurial attitude.
