Pros

You'll be surrounded by extremely smart and talented people throughout the entire organization. People are very friendly and working for a growth company provides opportunities to help shape the direction of the company.

Cons

Poor communication across the board. Poor morale throughout the organization. A recent "cultural initiative overhaul" has resulted in even worse morale and lots of "talk" about how we all need to improve the company culture, followed by little action. Recent rollout of a new "Tinder-esque" application to "rate good or bad employees" by swiping left and right was very poorly received and offensive to a large number of seasoned professionals. Constant closed door meetings. Updates about company performance to employees are extremely rare. Meetings are generally a waste of time where nothing is ever accomplished, devolving into an argument between partners while everyone else surfs the web. Complete lack of focus and planning across the board. Arbitrary deadlines and iniatives based on promises to prospects that can change on a whim. Complete lack of long term planning. Lackluster benefits compared to similar organizations.

As a growing organization focused on building a great company and culture, we think feedback, both positive and negative, is really important. In fact, one of our cultural behaviors encourages our people to be "feedback friendly" and we take your comments about how we can do better very seriously. We also understand communication is critical, especially at our stage of growth, and in the busyness of all that we are trying to accomplish, acknowledge we have not done as good of a job as we can in providing our employees with regular updates. Here are some things we are doing going forward to help improve communication: • Continuing our monthly all-employee meetings and providing business updates at those meetings • Sharing key performance metrics with all employees on a monthly basis • Providing more regular and detailed updates on product features, enhancements, releases, etc. • Holding quarterly meetings with individual teams to listen to employees and brainstorm ways we can improve Additionally, we want to provide a way for employees to give feedback not only to each other, but also to the company, so we are now asking for feedback on the company’s performance using our online feedback technology. The intent of our feedback tool is not to rate "good" or "bad" employees, but rather to provide employees with real-time information to inform and drive their professional development. Similarly, we intend to use the feedback collected about Innovu to get a better pulse on how we’re doing and use that data to make improvements for the organization. Every day we strive to build a positive and welcoming culture at Innovu, and as part of that effort, we've openly posted all 31 of our cultural fundamentals on our website. We encourage all of our employees to “speak straight” and share their thoughts, ideas, and opinions, even if they aren’t popular. Thank you for your candid feedback, and if you would like to address your concerns specifically outside of Glassdoor, please don’t hesitate to schedule a conversation with HR, your manager, or a member of the executive team.

Pros

Innovu offers an excellent work-life balance with the flexibility to work remotely and wherever you reside in the country. Their product is cutting-edge, making it thrilling to be involved with such a transformative and disruptive tool in the industry.

Cons

Innovu faces significant challenges with structure and consistency. While their product is exceptional, the business practices used to achieve that success are questionable. The CEO highlights positive progress toward year-end goals each quarter and emphasizes the company culture for all employees, often stating that we spend more time together than with our own families (red flag). However, executive leadership seems to prioritize results over the well-being of their team, often treating employees as mere tools for achieving those goals and is not afraid to chew you up and spit you out in front of everyone.
