We genuinely reflect on every review — and we want to be transparent, particularly for anyone considering joining our team who deserves the full picture.
We won't pretend this review doesn't sting. Words like "poisonous" are hard to read when our team regularly describes this as one of the most connected, supportive environments they've worked in. We invest heavily in bringing people together — through team lunches, socials, and collaborative training sessions — because culture isn't a talking point for us, it's something we actively build. We also fully respect that this isn't what everyone is looking for, and that some people prefer to focus on their work without a high level of team engagement. Both are welcomed here. But for those who do want connection, community, and a team that genuinely looks out for one another, that environment exists and is thriving.
On the claim that leadership is motivated by greed: we'd invite any prospective colleague to look at the specifics. Our therapists are paid above market rates — not sector-adjusted rates, but full market rates — in an industry where reimbursement runs approximately 40% below comparable sectors. On top of that, we provide a gold-tier benefits package and pension contributions. Unlike many organisations, we also recognise that therapy doesn't begin and end with the client session. Planning, preparation, documentation, and travel are all counted as paid working hours — because we know that's where a significant part of the role lives. Our team receives generous hour allocations for treatment sessions and assessment reports, and we equip them with AI-powered tools to manage their responsibilities more efficiently and effectively. These aren't afterthoughts — they are deliberate, considered commitments built into the very framework our team works within. As an OT-run and OT-owned company, we understand this role from the inside, and that shapes every decision we make about how our therapists are supported. We also operate a time-tracking system where our team logs fewer hours than they are actually paid for. These are not the policies of an organisation chasing profit at its people's expense. They are the policies of one that has thought carefully about what it actually means to value a therapist's time, expertise, and wellbeing.
The expectation that clients are seen at their agreed treatment frequencies is a clinical standard rooted in each individual's goals. Frequency is not imposed — it is purposefully proposed to the insurer based on what the client needs to achieve the outcomes they came to us for, and agreed upon with the client themselves. Inconsistent attendance undermines that plan, harms progress, and ultimately lets down the person at the centre of it all.
To anyone reading this who is weighing up whether to join us: we'd encourage you to look at the breadth of our reviews, speak to people on our team, and reach out to us directly. We're proud of who we are, and we're confident that an honest conversation will reflect that far better than a single anonymous post can.
Our door is always open.
