The pay is not commensurate with consultants' experience levels. The payments that consultants receive PALE in comparison to the payments that the company gets from clients. Every consultant that I've worked with agrees on this. The company's president is self-aggrandizing, egotistical & takes credit for everyone else's work when presenting it to clients, often without ever reviewing it before the presentations. He openly disrespects consultants in front of clients and often consultants have to do "damage control" with clients after his visits. Seeing as all employees are freelance contractors, there is really no room for growth. There is little to no diversity among consultants. Other than their nationalities, the consultants are largely all caucasian men ages 50+. The company does not offer work visas and puts consultants in tricky situations when working in foreign countries on tourist visas. The company's models that they prescribe to newsrooms are obsolete and outdated.
