Pros
Somewhat flexible regarding hours. I was allowed to reduce my hours or split my shift to accommodate personal appointments that could not be scheduled after my shift. Good benefit package if you ever get a permanent position.
Cons
Safety versus productivity. They say that safety is a priority but if working safely reduces productivity you hear about it. Too much emphasis on cost per unit and touches per unit. Very poor morale Team work is only emphasized when the shipping department needs help. The receiving department was never given any help. The bread and butter clients are constantly put off for one particularly pushy client. Impossible to get a full time position. All associates start as either temps or contract. Very low starting wage that never goes up unless you get a full time position Contract associates stay just long enough to get a forklift license then quit.......makes for a lot of turnover.
