Pros

Work week was Monday-Thursday. Phenomenal Assistant Manager who was great at leading. Pay was worthwhile. It was very exciting being behind the scenes of cheese production. From unloading huge chunks of cheese and watching it being cut on a large scale machine. Large scale vacuum sealers were so much fun and exciting! To labeling and boxing the cheese out the door. All steps involved were fun in the their own right, repetitive yes but still something to be apart of. Also working in the cold was a plus-much easier to bundle up than be hot.

Cons

Faulty equipment. Numerous calls into tech support and machines were never fixed/repaired to run cheese at it's full potential. Was forewarned while accepting this position that management had issues in terms of staffing this position either due to current management or possibly the cold conditions. Soon after accepting it was very clear on why there was a high turn over rate. Management lacks leadership skills and basic communication skills with staff. The mind set by staff is to be told numerous times throughout the day that you're doing something wrong even though you're following every procedure they've ever shown you. Management also likes to follow procedures on their time, not all of the time. Management will also make you lie on paperwork concerning metal tests even after you've voiced concerns.

Pros

-Rotating Weekends (Work Sat/Off Sun then Off Sat/Work Sun) -Flexible Scheduling

Cons

-You are expected to do a lot of work for very little pay -Being promoted is extremely unlikely and any wage increases is purely for inflation, not because they think you deserve it. -If you do not fight for higher wages they will not give it (I knew someone who has worked full-time in the deli for years longer than I, but somehow he made less than me) - Deli Management is very clique like, the assistant store manager has many complaints filed against him. -Expected to work holidays, no holiday pay or overtime (ever)
