Pros
I left a very good job where I was tenured, respected, and well compensated to come to Adboom. I can honestly say it was the best career decision I have ever made. Adboom is young, hungry, innovative, and successful. From day one, I felt like part of the family. Its unfortunate to see some of the less favorable reviews I have read. But the environment here is not for everyone. The culture here is very unique. It is open and fast paced with no room for negativity. Everyone is working hard towards the vision set forth by upper management. It is a team environment of individual contributors.
Adboom takes care of their employees. First and foremost, the management is fair and rational. They respect and develop the employees. Some perks of the job are dental/health/vision insurance, unlimited vacation, a fully stocked kitchen, state of the art technology, upward mobility, fun work environment, and access to external sources for additional training. Bottom line, they invest in their workforce. With all these perks you might expect people to take advantage of the system, but hiring the right people and mutual respect keeps any abuse to a minimum.
Adboom has been nationally recognized for its unique culture, employee satisfaction, and explosive growth. Recently Forbes named them #3 Most Promising Companies of 2015 by Forbes, so they have to be something right.
Cons
Adboom is definitely a start-up environment with a lot of growing pains. But with every obstacle comes an opportunity. Innovation is everywhere, so if you can't think outside the box, it may be hard to keep up. It is important to be proactively asking questions here. The management can be spread a little thing at times.
