Pros
Views are for the ATV department: Policies of the company are good like free lunches. Re-imbursement of food if staying late. Employees can go by Taxi like Ola/Uber if worked late till night like beyond 9 PM.
Cons
This is very specific to ATV dept.: - Loads of politics. Some old timers(5 yrs and beyond, not many are there) will not work. They only have advisory work/business and it is because of their decision making that the entire department suffers. - It is actually a 7 day working company. During releases you will not be spared and end up working on Sats and Suns(pretty normal). - Managers(CoCs) do not care about the employees they only care about the deadlines. People are treated like cattle. - Not much to learn except the process part. Actual Automotives technical work is purely absent. They work only on the MCAL layer. - Germans in the ATV deptt. regard themselves as superior(which is pretty obvious) and they will be decision makers. Bangalore is just follower. - Totally thankless company, you work your brains out and nobody bothers. Credit will go to the people who did not even work but only gave advises. You do 1000 things right, one thing wrong, you will be screwed and treated like junk. - Gender discrimination(females are given preferrence over males). Males are not spared any mistakes. Females are treated as queens, even though they do not have any knowledge or are fresher just out of college.
