Pros

The people, training, wide scope of practice

Cons

Just about everything. Very few people there actually liked their jobs, but since IU Health virtually has a monopoly then you're only option in the county with decent benefits is IU Health. As soon as management heard of the potential for a nurses union they flipped out. Worked there for 2 years and finally had enough of the politics. Turnover rate was extremely high. Pay was lower than a CNA and us ED PCT's were uptrained a ton. Only 1% cost of living raises every year (and only offered one performance award for our entire 100+ person department..). Watched about a dozen incredible nurses retire within a couple months of eachother cause they hated the new IU Health.

Pros

very flexible schedule, leadership is good at communicating and showing appreciation. They also don't allow others to treat coworkers poorly. Insurance is affordable with decent coverage, more PTO than many companies.

Cons

pay is low, increases are very small

Pros

good management (depends on the floor you’re placed on)

Cons

Easy to be overworked. It really depends on the nurses you are working with.
