When I started, it felt like everyone was on the same page on being mission driven and changing the access to healthcare to everyone! The focus on teams was the member and everything was anti metrics that wasn’t in favor of helping our members. That’s now out the windows and it’s $$$$$$ and metrics. It was easy to drink the company koolaid when your work was helping members. Now it’s drink it or leave!
The worst part is what’s falling apart internally! The people team did mass layoffs to turn around and hire “contractors” months later. Now they have low engagement scores and BS reasons for what’s going on and not looking at their poor decisions for why everyone is unhappy. The CEO or CPO has lost their way and it’s sad to see such a great company go to a model of not caring about the voice of their employees. It once was a core value but is now more lip service.
If you want to know whats truly going on. Look at the reviews from member facing roles and engineering positions and see that they are tanking and those populations aren’t happy!
