Pros

I did feel that they paid their employees fair and their benefit package was subpar at best.

Cons

Impact has carved out an interesting approach to the whole environmental market. Impact tends to be more invested in the best interest of client then actually completing the work in an efficient manner. Also, there is no clear supervision, and it is a complete free for all 90% of the time. Managers have very little clue on how to complete the work that they are purposing and then blaming their field staff for the manger’s mistakes. During my time at Impact (which was not very long) I saw more than 10 people come into the place and leave just as fast. Turnover rate is extremely high. They did not have a 401k or any retirement plan while I was there. That may have changed. One thing with the medical benefits is it is constantly changing from company to company every year. So, by the time you get settled in with doctors and whatever you have to do it all over again. HR tries but they sometimes are very unhelpful and do leave their employees out to dry a lot. Overall Impact is not the best place to work for because if you are just starting out in the industry you will 100% not get a good understanding on how the rest of the industry operates and everything you will learn is completely backwards. Also, if you have worked for other companies in the past and you go to Impact you will be thrown for an absolute loop. With that being said they do get some cool projects and they somehow are still busy.

I'm sorry that you had a negative experience with us. We value the extensive field experience that our senior managers have and their willingness and ability to share their knowledge. To address the retirement plan, we have had one that is available to all employees for almost 2 decades that I am personally aware of. The medical plan offered to the employees is the same one used by the owners of the company and is generously supplemented. Not every company is suitable for every employee. I truly hope you found a position that suits you well!
