Pros
Although they might be blind to issues, upper management is fair. Benefits are above average than in other companies. Safety is a major priority. Employees are integrated into some areas of decision-making which is not common.
Cons
ITW recently acquired new companies while closing and laying off previously held ones. In doing so, the company had to hold back benefits and payraises in order to subsidize the pruchases. Do not expect a personal connection to the corporation as one would find in a single owner or family-run bisiness. The coldness that comes with working in a corporate atmosphere is very apparent.
