Pros
- Career Development - Bonuses for certifications - Reimbursement for professional training (books, cert exams, ect.) - Work from home, or work from the office (really awesome in less than perfect weather) - Plenty of fun opportunities in and outside of working hours - Good work/life balance - Management is very hand's off and focused on providing inspiration and big picture plans (not focused on micromanaging everything) - Great company values - Benefits options offered are really awesome for a company of this size. Five plan options for health coverage, dental, vision, LTD, STD, Life, 401k match, and cell phone allowance are available. Worked for a short time as a member of the junior/associate program before moving on to a new position. Learned A LOT, and had the opportunity to work with some really awesome and intelligent people. Management is working hard to ensure the long term stability of the company, and is doing well Management is also receptive to feedback from employees.
Cons
- Constant updates about the precise status of the business can be troubling sometimes if you're not fully educated on business processes. - It is very difficult to be a long term employee if you aren't constantly learning new skills and creating value for the company. - If you're a more social person at work, it can make things a bit lonely as a remote worker (non Grand Rapids natives). This is less of a con for the "lone wolves"
