I have been in the pharmaceutical industry for 11 years, working in Biotech and big pharma. This is by far the best company I have worked for. It is fast paced but processes are in place and many under development, you can contribute towards the improvement of these processes. Your voice is heard, your job is as expanded as you want it to be (just look for the opportunities!) I have seen several excellent managers in different parts of the organization (HR in Milton Park, Project Management Office, leadership site in Milton Park) to name a few. Colleagues are really friendly, you get to work with virtual teams in Europe and Canada/ USA. We are developing great products Project teams structure is very dynamic There is a lot of talent in the organisation and high performers People genuinely care about their jobs Work-life balance is great Diversity is great Company cares for employees- a nice surprise present was sent from site leadership in Milton Park to our homes during the crisis The company is making strides towards establishing a more permanent work from home pattern Offices (France, Wrexham in Wales, Milton Park are truly beautiful) Subsidized canteen for employees Sports subsidy Off site gatherings for project teams
Cons
We spend a lot of our time reporting project status and going through project reviews. I wish the work was more focus towards running the projects and delivering the products quicker to market The extra project reviews are due to two big changes in leadership (CEO/ R&D Management) hope management is more stable in the years to come
