Pros
Good work from home flexibility. My boss was happy with me working 2 days per week in the office and the other 3 days per week at home.
Cons
Limited career growth opportunities. Because there is so much flexibility with working from home, the office is often a ghost town and even when people are in the office there is minimal office vibe / banter / collaboration etc. It can feel isolating and it can be hard for a new person to feel part of the team as a number of the current employees have been there for years and know each other well. They’re friendly enough, but you can go into the office and if you don’t make an effort to go talk to people no one will say anything to you the whole day except ‘hi’’ Which is fine, but my point is you have to work much harder to build relationships here than other places I’ve worked, and it doesn’t have the same friendly/enjoyable vibe as other places.
