Pros
Amazing fellows who are driven and community oriented
Cons
1. Senior leadership lacks accountability to their mission statement to be trans-inclusive
2. Lack of transparency of how IGNITE defines nonpartisanship
3. The organization values the voices of white staff and fellows more than BIPOC voices, unless they are complicit with white supremacy
4. If you question senior leadership, you are labeled and though of as problematic
5. Claims to "hire from within" when in reality, the people who are hired are puppets to white feminism and/or personally worked with the CEO previously
6. Although the new CEO is a woman of color, she approaches feminism as a white feminist. She does not have an intersectional perspective on politics and only wants fellows of diverse markers to brag about diversity
7. The organization PREACHES about being a leader but only values fellows and staff who are followers
8. The organization prides themselves in how many young women they have inspired when it is the fellows who are the backbone of the organization doing constant outreach and yet, are the least paid
9. When held accountable, the CEO will not answer a question straightforward
