Pros
good team members that's the only positive thing which came to my mind.
Cons
Mostly about CoS (IT@IFS) department. When it's comes to salary and promotions IT@IFS departments pay very low salary when comparing with other organization units. Also, if you wish to join this departments don’t expect any salary increments for promotions. Promotions are a just a designation changer only. Salary increments very low like 7500 LKR – 15000 LKR for past couple of years. Also, no point of talking these with line managers or senior leadership it like playing harp for deaf elephants. Senior leadership defend themselves using job security by telling it’s nice to have a job because lay-off happening everywhere around the world. Second to none Sri Lankan Line managers use to use some idiot figures and nice stories to justify your low salary increments. 2024 is the worse year of increment most of employees didn’t get any increments but in last year CEO’s call he mention that IFS reach to 2B worth company. Most of line manager’s decisions not transparent in this department also they hide the benefits which employees need to be received but the funniest thing was they act like they do everything for their employees but that’s not the truth, truth is the opposite side of that. Last couple of years Sri Lankan CoS employees get like 3% - 8% salary increments like 20USD – 45USD average increments which not fair at all. But they show off they doing fantastic job by promoting ifs events videos on social media but sad truth was refreshments also not enough for some employees which recently held CoS events and those events they not publish on any social media platforms. CEO, CHRO and new CIO visited to Sri Lanka very recently and had some discussions with employees at that time employees asked for a salary correction according to the current market rates not any salary increments, but no positive feedback from anyone of them, they pass the ball here and there. After couple of weeks later all-hands call also they didn’t mention any single word of salary concerns. They announce they planning to grow IFS Sri Lanka hiring 1000 more employees my point is if they unable to treat existing employees well, so how they going to hire another 1000 employees? recent haired employees’ salary also very lower than the market rate. If you planning to join IFS 1st do research about salary rates for the position you applied.
