Pros

There are great people and you can get valuable experience if you seek it out.

Cons

I worked at ICF for a few years in its accounting department. There is a new CFO now so maybe it’s changed, but when I was there the treatment of minorities and particularly minority women was not good. Several black women and women of color were fired under the regime of one of the Assistant Controllers. They were blamed for many issues that really should have been attributed to a lack of competence at the leadership level. Instead of looking at the leadership and their limited abilities, many minorities were fired and blamed for issues. Again, this was under the previous CFO so hopefully things have changed? Minorities were held to standards that others were not. It was talked about by many in the department.

Pros

People, Mission, Culture, Technology, Remote. You work on projects and technologies that actually impact and improves the day to day lives of people around you, the community and the Country

Cons

Pay, No much room for upward mobility. If you are a high performer, you'll struggle as the structure rewards years spent in the company vs level of expertise or experience.
