Pros
- Good starting place (gained experience in "the real world")
- Nice office perks (computer, snacks, etc.)
Cons
During the time I was there, I felt out of the loop on many things: projects, meetings, company happenings. During meetings, I felt ignored, as everyone around me seemed to understand what we were talking about and although I asked questions, things were never explained to me clearly. This made me feel like my thoughts weren't heard and were less important than others.
I got no feedback on my ideas, and that completely discouraged me. Other projects were given to my coworkers instead of me - even though I was completely capable of tackling the projects, I was never given the chance.
Although I understand that I was a contract employee, I felt treated as a lower priority than the full time employees, which one should never feel if the team is as tight-knit as they say they are.
