Pros
Tight nit group. The ability to turn your brain off "sometimes" if you just work for non-management positions. The company literally can't fire anyone because they can't retain people.
Cons
Everyone is part-time except for management and a select few 50+ hours workers so basically nobody sees those mystical "benefits". (So much for employee owned eh?) We do not provide any training, not even for cooks. Management has been stuck in the early 2000's when it comes to pay. Constant influx of new management due to lack of promoting internally those who demonstrate the capability to assume more responsibility. Pay disparity, the expectation of a desk job, or just general overworking, are all reasons we can't retain management. I should also mention that I've seen a considerable disregard for child labor laws, I've seen minors pull 12 hour shifts or even double shifts because we can't retain them. Need to be 18 to take out trash or use knifes yet we only staff minors in some dept's so we break those laws on the daily. Oh and I wouldn't ever recommend eating or catering from here. Everything is frozen but it's the filth that you should be concerned about. Because 90% of staff is sub 12-an-hour minors, nothing is ever cleaned. We've never passed an inspection. The fact that someone hasn't been poisoned yet is quite honestly astonishing to me personally.
