Overall, the organization is good, and does incredibly important work. The volunteers are amazing, and a few paid staff appreciate and respect them.

The majority of paid staff "looks right through" volunteers. Somehow, they don't get that the organization could not exist without the selfless dedication of volunteers. Volunteers work just as hard as staff, for no pay, but for the privilege of helping the precious animals. And volunteer input and involvement also is just as important as that of staff.
