Pros

I developed some amazing friendships that have lasted. We support one another both while still working at H and since we left.

Cons

In my 16 years, I spent almost 15 years in Grievance and Appeals (g&a), and of that, at least 13 in expedited appeals. I started working at the Cincinnati Service Center (CSC) and was in g&a for 6 years prior to my job being transferred to report out of the GreenBay, WI office (WSC) While reporting to CSC I received 5 star awards for projects I took on and completed that improved existing processes or created a process where one didn't previously. During the last 9 years, I received 1 star award, but watched others get them at least 8 times for the work I did. Additionally, every time I applied for another job that was a step up, my supervisor or manager at the time would stop it, and I was pigeonholed. Over the last year, they took me out of the role I excelled at, forcing me to do other work in the department. I ended up being let go, all because they would not put me back in the role I excel at and performed better than one else BEWARE - IF THEY LIKE HOW YOU PERFORM IN A SPECIFIC ROLE THEY WILL NEVER LET YOU MOVE UP AND ARE LIKELY TO FIRE YOU IF EXPRESS ANY DISSATISFACTION!!!

Pros

Working from home, that’s about it.

Cons

Micromanaging, forced to help team members while you’re behind on your own caseload. Denied PTO requests, no PTO all summer and no PTO until the end of January 2027 (that’s supposed supposedly when they will be done ramping up with all their new employees.) a bunch of meetings weekly that are pointless. A weekly case conference where they are forcing nurses to present a complex case in front of over 300 people on zoom. Process changes change constantly, there are no job aid or guideline that help you make a Clinical decision but you will get out of it if you do it incorrectly. Save yourself the trouble and apply somewhere else. It is not worth it.
