No PTO or benefits for employees outside USA. For a company whose success is largely driven by contractors, contractors aren't compensated nearly enough. There used to be an allowance for equipment but they removed it too.
The CEO's view on productivity is twisted. He claims to be data driven, but when you present him with data like a 4 day workweek being more healthy and beneficial for employees, he is offended. In fact, it is this CEO that removed the already few contractor benefits in the first place. He is very out of touch.
He treats people as metrics, not people. You are not defined by your impact but instead by how much work you can do in 40 hours. It is a corporate mindset, just remote. This is very obvious behavior of some of the team leads and executives also.
