Pros
You get to do a variety of work. Anything from cleaning the floor to working on home-made testing equipment all in a single day. Keeping busy makes the day go by fast.
Cons
Management: their decisions aren't always the best and they don't appreciate the talent they have. They also tend to place all the management work on technicians. There is no real path for growth, making it easy to feel "stuck" Management has also been known to volunteer you for work without you knowing until Friday afternoon.
