Pros
Big company benefits structure Global business environment Relaxed supervisory attitude
Cons
No support from management, or even regular status updates Employees are routinely hired with misleading job descriptions and false promises of growth projects. The job requirements shift suddenly for emergencies. The business is always having an emergency. Rather than long term improvement projects, the business is a mess of short term fixes. The lab on site is small and cannot receive shipments. Engineers should expect to commute to the plant 1hr north weekly at minimum. The company hires the cheapest employee they can, regardless of skill set need. Reviews are more dependent on relationships with upper management than performance. Projects are routinely understaffed. When they fail as a result, management fires everyone and starts fresh with the same staffing levels and less experience. Despite decades of experience being a geographically diverse business, basic communication lacks between departments and levels of power. Extreme silo effect.
