Worse managers, with little experience. No attempt to improve managers or leadership. Worse learning culture of the 10 companies I have worked for and the 28 companies I have consulted with over the years. Little to no power given to local people. Low to no trust culture. No adapting to local customer, employee, or supplier culture. Two separate cultures internally everywhere globally. It is so bad they have Chinese canteens at many locations globally, but only serve Chinese. Separate management meetings of Chinese and local managers. Non-Chinese employees are treated as 2nd class employees. Non-Chinese are not part of the career advancement and promotion system. Very high turnover of local employees globally: 4X global benchmarks in the industry. Corruption is rampant in China and many other markets globally at Huawei. At 2012 3rd party professional study of European labor market indicated that only 18% of employees would recommend to a friend, colleague as a place to work.
