Company is very old school, if you’re under 40 and female promotions are not going to happen. I’ve worked for Aplan for 7 years and I watched several of my female colleagues, who have been at the company longer than me, get passed over for promotion time and time again because they are not yet married or have children. The pay rates are generally low and well below natural average for the industry. Benefits are virtually nonexistent, unless you have £1000 going spare every year to join the share scheme. Very much a company where head office managers and directors reap the rewards and are completely out of touch with the nationwide branch staff…..rich get richer and the poor stay poor comes to mind.
