Pros
Some genuinely kind and talented peers (though many have since left)
Cons
Constant layoffs •Chaotic, reactive work environment •Toxic and manipulative culture •Poor leadership and unethical practices •Below-market pay •Zero transparency or job security I would strongly caution anyone considering a job at Home Solutions or its parent company Three Ships. The culture is deeply toxic, and management operates in a way that is both unprofessional and unsustainable. Employees are often young and inexperienced—intentionally hired that way so leadership can mold them into saying yes to anything, under the false promise of long-term rewards or career growth. Work-life balance is virtually nonexistent. I was frequently encouraged to work through lunch and stay late, with the suggestion that it would pay off “down the road”— only to be laid off abruptly a week later. The role often felt like a never-ending cycle of putting out fires, mostly due to poor planning, disorganized leadership, and unrealistic expectations. Rather than focusing on strategy or long-term goals, most of the job involved cleaning up after bad decisions made at the top. Compensation is well below industry standards, especially given the high demands and stress. In my time there, I witnessed multiple failed ventures and constant layoffs, creating a work environment fueled by fear and instability. Most team members live with the constant anxiety of being next on the chopping block. Management decisions are based on popularity rather than qualifications. Those with little to no experience are promoted simply because they are well-liked, not because they are capable of leading. Upper leadership routinely takes credit for employees’ work, even going as far as to isolate team members from meetings so they can present those ideas as their own. Before accepting any role here, I highly recommend reading reviews for Three Ships as well. Managers and leadership team was brought over from Three Ships.
