Pros

-Large scale projects which look good on your resume. -Company is well know and has good reputation which will open doors anywhere you’d like to go. -Sponsored company events.

Cons

-Horrible onboarding, if you’re new to the industry you best catch up quick and do your own research outside of work to understand what’s going on. The help is there but everyone is so crammed with work they only have time to help themselves. -Upper management definitely looks at you as nothing but a number and doesn’t care if you get burnt out. -LONG WORK HOURS and absolutely ZERO WORK LIFE BALANCE, I get this is the industry norm however, any place that requires you to work a MINIMUM of 50 hours is out of pocket!!! If you work 7-5, you will look mediocre to upper management and is seen as subpar performance. -lots and lots of people trying to move up the hierarchy and are oblivious to their bossy personalities. Everyone wants to be a boss around here and get their egos inflated by management. Not to mention the obnoxious amount of “boot licking” required to move up. -Cliques are easily formed and if you don’t fit, you will feel marginated and out of place. -Below average pay for the amount of work you are expected to put in as a minimum. -People have a tendency to communicate by yelling like they own you and putting you on blast in staff meetings in front of everyone. Upper management excels in this. -You will be throw to the wolves regardless of your experience level. An engineer with 0 years of experience is expected to handle multi million dollar trades without any training or explanation on the scope. -Definitely felt a racial bias when it came to promotions and performance. There were so many racial slurs and incidents by subcontractors on site and GC management did nothing about it. -Corporate brainwashing on how great the company is but doesn’t do much to actually reflect it. -Many people have walked out due to upper managements administration in certain projects.
