Pros

Great for crafting bits and bobs, the discount is okay, but often there are other suppliers that sell the same items at prices below the staff discount prices. A great "appearance of caring"

Cons

They set unrealistic targets for swipes and sign ups, this forces some people into cheating to keep high rates, in our store a member of management actively tells people to cheat and how to do it, to get their figures higher, putting points on other peoples cards and starting fraudulent accounts. Hobbycraft don't care about this and turn a blind eye telling other staff they need to get their rates that high, when sometimes every person doing them legitimately knows they're about luck. Hobbycraft ignores the law in UK that till points (a job thay can be done sitting down) have chairs for staff, even those who suffer with conditions that make this difficult (and may I point out may affect their much saught after swipes and sign ups), these people aren't given time off tills either, being a pitiful approach to their physical and mental health. Hobbycraft don't like staff members who have valid criticisms of them "they don't live the company enough", forgetting that you don't need to be free pf criticism to like or be loyal to something, I'm loyal and love many things, but don't think they're perfect.
