Pros
Great schedule as far as retail goes. Off every Sunday, off every other weekend, the latest night other than the Holiday Season usually ends at 8:30pm. Good 15% discount. Benefits are average, so no complaints their. Good opportunity for advancement. This company also isn't one of those "customer is always right" companies. The DM pretty much ignored most of the complaints customers called in. Very basic as far as the priorities: appearance, wages, in stock, profit. Not even really pressed for sales. Keep those four things in line and you'll do fine.
Cons
The work is physical, so don't expect a desk job. 15% office work, the other 85% is on the floor. That's actually a good thing for some, but not usual for this size retail establishment. There's a saying that "if you don't touch it at least 8 times before you sell it then you're doing something wrong" that you should keep in mind. We moved a lot of things over and over again, and that's the program. Just like any company, there are always a few people you'll meet that don't reflect the values preached by the company as far as fairness and Christianity. Very tight on payroll, but that's retail.
