Pros
This company, the Varennes site specifically, has a tremendous backlog in front of it. If you're looking for stability, you will find it here. There are huge investments in real estate, equipment and people planned for the next 3-5 years as we plan to triple the capacity. The site has been in existence since the 1970's and there is a wealth and a depth of experience available to learn from. The product manufactured is right up there with the decarbonization efforts in the province, the country and the world and is part of the essential infrastructures of the future.
Cons
There is a lot of new personnel (including me) who need to learn the proper ways of doing things and the workload of the experienced employees is high. Expect to learn from a lot of shadowing current employees doing the work. The site is tied to a few global international groups that require attention. If you're not used to it, working for a multinational company has its challenges, mostly around reporting and following the party line.
