Pros
There aren't many pros to working here. Most of the coworkers are awesome, there are a few that are not. Its a basic paycheck which is better than nothing, if you can tolerate all the other BS that goes along with it. The employee discounts are nice too.
Cons
Pay rate management Lack of work life balance Certain management decides what rules they want to follow and when they want to follow them Other employees steal tips from rooms Too much favoritism Pay rate does not coincide with ability to do job well. They work around the insurance laws by hiring people in for part time (this is something you have to figure out on your own, they wont tell you that you are only part time) I started around April and didn't have less than 32 hours a week until the end of December. Almost the entire Summer I worked more than 80 hours in a 2 week period, and still was not "bumped up" to full time. Part time gets no insurance but from what I've been told it is probably better that way because full time people can't even afford the insurance offered. No set schedule- you can be called in or called off any given day. Schedule for the week comes out the day before it starts. You are expected to somehow schedule your life around the hotel, which is not only unrealistic but impossible if you work in the housekeeping department.
