Pros

There are Good and creative people at Highland. Other pros include: creative freedoms, nice office space, good customers.

Cons

I have too second a lot of what has been said already. There is just something not right about Highland. There's a sense of wanting a good culture and it's always promoted but in the end it seems fear and greed win out every time. There are a lot of promises made but seldom are they actually delivered which leads to lack of trust in the leadership of the company. Working at Highland had so much promise but in the end it ended up being the same old politically driven company that they so hope not to be.

Pros

Leadership that actually cares about you as a person, management that puts trust in and gives autonomy to individual contributors, values driven organization that won't work with clients that do not align to our values, great people who you actually enjoy working with every day.

Cons

Small company so lacks some perks offered by larger firms, however your quality of life working here makes up for that.

Pros

I've been at Highland for almost two years now and I can genuinely say that I feel good about the work I do every day and think that Highland is poised for success in the years ahead. The company values can be seen in every decision made; the leadership team thinks not just about revenue but about the impact a decision will have on employees and our clients. Highland has evolved quite a bit in the past few years and is becoming less of a "dev shop" and more of a strategic consulting firm. This has meant we've been able to do some exciting and diverse work. It also means that our team is constantly evolving and learning new things. There is a ton of opportunity to expand your professional skill-set and work on a variety of projects here. Highland also truly supports work/life balance as well as bringing your "whole self" to work. There is a commitment to D&I and you can tell that the people who work here enjoy what they do and who they work with. There is absolutely no toxicity in the workplace and everyone's thoughts/feelings are respected. I can't say enough good things about the leadership team and their commitment to building a sustainable firm that has a positive impact on our community and the people we serve. Also, Highland recently upgraded our health insurance benefits and they're some of the best you can get.

Cons

It's is a small company and not looking to grow rapidly so if you're looking for a place to "climb the ladder" quickly, Highland might not be for you. Not sure that's a con- but something to note. Although there is profit sharing, there is no 401K match.
