we were often verbally abused by sales reps and their managers. reps often had full panic attacks on the work floor due to the stress of the job and expectations placed upon us by management. clients were often unaware of exactly which services they signed up for which led to confusion. we were blamed and penalized for every client cancellation, even if the reason for cancellation was that the business shut down. sales teams were always praised for doing such a great job but the C-suite would hardly ever value the contribution of the operations teams.
