Pros

There is heart at the core of HH. The people supported are well cared for and they use their limited resources as best as they can.

Cons

Poor leadership. The culture is very toxic. The strongest person can only last 1-2 yrs. The employees that have lasted the longest are the people who have contributed to the overall demise of the company, over and over again. They are afraid of innovation and support stagnant performance; they consistently default to their comfort zone. Worst of all, they expect 100.00 an hr performance from employees making 10-11 dollars per hour. Most employees can barely afford to get to work; so how can you expect them to happily care for other humans when they likely need care/support themselves. They need to remember you don't own your employees. You need them so you need to make each day about making them happy, providing meaningful training/development, and respect their personal time. Lastly, there are very few opportunities for advancement.

Pros

The individuals served are amazing to work with and co-workers are dedicated and caring.

Cons

The CEO does not care about employees and is often callous when dealing with people and lacks basic social skills. There is no transparency with pay due to disparities and hiring and promotion practices are not based on merit or competencies.
