Lateral or promotional moves hard to come by

Being a regional hospital it is more laid back than the big hospitals. The work atmosphere is usually good and a lot of great people work there. Great culture.

Don't expect them to pay you what you're worth. Executive leadership is disconnected from reality. Benefits are not great and are getting worse. Some doctors that work there recommend getting your lab work from a third party rather than the hosptial because even with insurance provided by working at the hospital, the labs are still hundreds of dollars more expensive than going to a third party lab and paying out of pocket without insurance. Same can be said about their prescription benefits. I often get better deals not using my hospital insurance when getting prescriptions.
