Programatic solutions causing customer pain and no one seemed to care. Policy to send even minor debts to collections agents when the customer contact details had been updated for example. We had customers changing address and we'd not been able to contact them, due to internal system errors on the address field. Ideally we would have had the customer service reps call / email the customer manually, but instead management would just send the debts to the collection agencies.... Basically I wanted to get this updated so customers could just login and change their address, but instead we would send the debt to collections, when we could have: - emailed them - phoned them - texted them - or just updated the address field - or invoice them again in 6 months.... They just didn't seem to care that this causes extra expenses to customers due to the system not updating to a valid address. You could totally work here, but I wouldn't be too proud about it....
