Pros
the job is fun if you ignore the politics. there are a lot of really nice people there.
Cons
long hours for less than industry standard pay. deliberately chose the cheapest award they could so they could "pay above award" rates, but in reality you're working unpaid overtime just to scrape in at less than market value for the job. forced to work weekends but not paid penalties, and no RDO, so you end up working an 11 day fortnight. high turnover of staff. whether it be through internal advancement, or simply forcing people out through lack of support and running them ragged. special treatment for a small number of staff with regards to part time hours, but will deny anyone else the opportunity to go part time. always chasing management for rosters.
