Pros

Hearst has nice offices and a nice company cafeteria.

Cons

Hearst pays low editorial salaries compared with other similar companies. Too much corporate red tape; often, they value mind-numbing, overly time-consuming processes rather than allowing individual managers to create efficient procedures tailored to their staff.

Hearst Response
10y
We have made a significant effort recently to improve and modernize our processes in order to appeal to all groups in a cross functional pattern. One example is our brand new internal learning and development tool which hosts these procedures and uses data to customize needs based on employee/group.

Pros

Well-organized and good communication. As a contractor, I found Hearst to be a pleasure to work with.

Cons

I don't have any cons to report other than that the accounts payable is out of North Carolina and can take 60 days to receive payment.
