Great team and stability, but low salary and growth path - Video Editor Hearst Employee Review

I love working at Hearst in the Baltimore, Maryland market. I have worked for many radio stations over the past nearly 40 years and this is one of the best companies as far as working environment. I really feel cared for here.

On a personal level, I've had a hard time getting full time employment within the company, which is discouraging. Also, it takes forever for management to make hiring decisions.

The people are so dedicated for what they’re being paid; Exciting to work for legacy brands

Pay is very low compared to other companies; You will only get promoted if someone else on the team gets laid off; Layoffs are very brutal and happen like clockwork every November; Can feel very cliquey at times; You will be asked to work outside of work hours; Upper management doesn’t advocate for their teams
