Lots of good employees, but they can't make up for the bad management - Senior Software Engineer HealthVerity Employee Review

Pros

The employees are mostly nice people, and fun to work with. The work that they do in healthcare is actually helping people too.

Cons

Company leadership is bad - the company still doesn't know what it's trying to be, and it doesn't listen to employee feedback. Managers can often be pretty harsh too - I've seen multiple people quite over their treatment by their manager. No backfills for employees who leave means that even more work is pushed onto the people still there.

Pros

- The company offers significant opportunities for professional growth and development, especially for those who are curious, proactive, and eager to take on new challenges. I would never have been able to take on even half of the things that I accomplished here if I was somewhere else. - It's rewarding to be part of a culture where people are genuinely invested in one another’s development — building and working with a team that has grown and evolved together has been a highlight. Everyone on my team has continued to be promoted and moved into new roles and responsibilities. Nice to see a company that recognizes hard work and accountability! - Colleagues across the organization are approachable and willing to share insights, making it easier to align quickly and move initiatives forward. No matter how difficult the topic or question, I've always seen colleagues ready to engage to analyze a problem and generate a corrective action plan. - The company fosters a culture of openness and engagement — people are not only smart and driven, but also welcoming and supportive. From the extensive onboarding program to the weekly and daily opportunities to catch up with colleagues, most people have proved to be friendly and willing to answer questions about their roles, what they do, and help with any issues.

Cons

- As with any growing company, some processes and systems are still maturing — the pace of change can be exciting, but also requires adaptability and patience. Things do evolve over time so a willingness to pivot is essential but over time, the changes have moved the company in the right direction
