Pros

If you love the bikes, it's a thrilling job. You're working with something you love, and with a lot of people that share your passion. It's a very special atmosphere and culture. The end users are great to deal with.

Cons

The higher towards upper management you go, the more disconnected it gets from the people who love, ride and enjoy the products, and the more you feel like you're talking to someone from IBM. As an engineer, it’s really painful to have some bean counter override engine design choices in favor of cheaper less reliable options. Such as replacing Timken bearings with roller bearings on the fly wheels. HD had to work really hard to overcome the reliability stigma left over from the early AMF days. Now corporate is back to making terrible choices to increase profit margins on the bikes at the expense of very hard earned growth in public perception of durability.

Pros

My hiring journey began with a seamless application process, followed immediately by an incredibly organized scheduling phase. The Harley team kept me informed every step of the way. I never had to guess where I stood, as next steps were always laid out clearly. During the interview experience the entire Harley team panel was professional, welcoming, and were genuinely interested in my background, making the interview feel like a collaborative conversation. The transparency throughout the process gave me complete confidence when I ultimately accepted the job offer.

Cons

I have no cons to call out based on my experience in the interview process.
