Meh - Technician Harley-Davidson, Inc. Employee Review

Pros

Like the people I work with. Fun to work with bikes, sometimes.

Cons

- NON-flexible, extremely strenuous, strict attendance policy (paired with lack of time off or any way to request off of work without a "point" penalty (NO exceptions unless "catastrophic"). - The employee purchase plan has continued to be watered down and now we can't even get parts for a discount and we can't get anything from any of the stores or dealers for a discount. We can only buy online and then it conveniently almost any part you want says "only available in stores".... - Vacation time is GARBAGE and well below HALF of the average for jobs in the US in general. Just about every other employer in the country provides more vacation, flexibility, and or paid sick time, or a way to request time off unpaid. (freedom for the soul, right?) Employees resort to abusing FMLA to do things such as going to the dentist, pick up a child from school, or taking care of a family matter -No pension or incentives for long term retention....

Thank you for posting a review. Did you mean to leave this feedback for a specific Harley-Davidson dealership? If so, search for the dealership by name and place your review there so they can hear from you. Each H-D dealership is locally owned and operated. If you meant to leave a review for the corporate office, thank you for the feedback.

Pros

- Flexibility with schedule allowing for a good work/life balance - Great people to work with - Brand recognition

Cons

-Leadership is in a constant state change which also provides instability of the strategy. - New CEO brings "new" products and promises but if you look back over the past few 5 year strategic plans, very little changes. - Financially struggling to make a profit - Employees are not rewarded based on performance. IF there is a financial increase to base pay everyone gets the same amount. There are no merit increases. And they haven't paid out a bonus in a couple of years.
