Pros

Hardin works hard and plays hard. The office is fantastic and sports a lake view with a game room. There are times that late nights and early mornings are required to get the project at hand completed. The partners are very sharp business professionals and are actively engaged in day to day activities.

Cons

Some times the clients can be demanding and depending on your project, there will be a varying amount of stress.

Pros

This was my first development gig while I was still in school. To be fair it was a few years ago so it's possible that it has changed. - Modern tech - Beautiful office - Typical startup office perks (ping pong, pool, video games, beer on tap) - Nice people - Control over projects - Experience doing design and working with clients

Cons

Lack of tech standards across the board. No unit tests, no code reviews, sometimes no version control, very little oversight for new employees. As an intern I was given complete control over a client's production code/database/etc. This is not a good place to learn and grow as an engineer. You will touch a lot of tech but you will not learn good practices unless you teach yourself. Projects are old code written as fast as possible to get it out the door. With no comments or formal documentation. There was no plan to fix them or rewrite them, just pass along to the next intern. Not well organized and unclear communication between leadership and employees. It seemed like a place that was used to running as a team of 5 now running as a small company and not coping well. More of a personal preference: nerf darts and dance music in the office sounds cool, but it is not conducive to getting work done.
