Pros

Team Environment – Supportive coworkers and managers who emphasize teamwork. Hands-On Work – Active, physical job that keeps you moving instead of sitting all day. Employee Discounts – Good discounts on tools and equipment. Skill Development – Gain experience in inventory, stocking, shipping/receiving, and warehouse logistics. Flexible Scheduling – Depending on the store, shifts can work around school or other commitments. Opportunities to Advance – Potential to move into lead, supervisor, or management roles. Steady Hours – Reliable scheduling and consistent workload.

Cons

Physically Demanding – Lots of lifting, bending, and being on your feet for long periods. Fast-Paced Workload – Expectations to unload trucks and stock quickly can feel rushed. Early/Late Shifts – Truck days may require very early mornings or late evenings. Repetitive Tasks – Stocking and organizing can become routine. Limited Hours (Part-Time) – Some associates report not always getting as many hours as they’d like. Pay vs. Labor – Work can feel physically demanding compared to the starting pay.

Pros

Great benefits, fast paced environment, good teamwork. I liked the hours, you get an education about tools, whether from your coworkers or the customers. And speaking of the customers, they were on the better side for retail. Most are down to earth and easy to converse with.

Cons

Supply chain issues, many parts would never be replenished, despite being featured, advertised, and on display. That would often lead to tensions with customers. Aggressive time constraints on tasks. Sidewalk sales, holidays, and also coincidentally inclement weather days, can be quite busy and therefore stressful. Especially if there's call outs, but if you have a good management team, you'll have good staff that will want to work for them.
