Some really good people in the business but sadly they are not looked after.

Unfortunately, this is no longer the 'family' business it once was. Unclear on their direction and identity, incredibly poorly managed and no job security. Huge number of dismissals and redundancies over the last 2 years. Unethical people management and an archaic and discriminatory dress code. Unfortunately, despite hopes that the business might improve, its lack of awareness around competition and the way the industry has evolved means that it's very behind the times. The hotels are tired, dusty and the luxury pricetag is totally misplaced. There is a very unhappy workforce but the management and leadership from the umbrella company are completely blind to it. Make sure you do your research before taking up a role - read the papers, look at the accounts.
